About Me

I THINK ABOUT YOUR JOB AS MUCH AS YOU DO...

I'm a professor, researcher, and consultant, trained as an Industrial-Organizational psychologist. I'm interested in a wide variety of topics in organizational science, psychology, and economics, but my identity as a researcher can be easily summarized by one statement:

There is more to work than working

My current research is focused on understanding the outcomes of leader errors, the influence of followers in organizations, and the development of individual vocational interests. However, the truth is that my goal is to understand as much as possible about the human experience of work.

I think that it is both important and amazing that human beings spend the majority of their adult lives at "work". I work to understand the dynamics, motivations, and obstacles that drive the experiences in our working lives.
